By Guest Contributor Samantha Carruth
This is the first of what we hope will be many guest contributions to our blog. We received these heartfelt words written by Sam Carruth sent to us following an earthquake rebuild fundraising update letter from the Centre, which she has kindly given permission for us to share. Thank you, Sam!
I have taken the time to sit, read, absorb and reflect.
When I was a young child my parents would give my brother and I 50 cents or $1 to go to the dairy and buy a mixture of candy, and every time the first thing I would do when I got home is go around anyone who was at my house and open my bag and share them until there was a few left.
I was happier this way, in fact much happier than if I had most of the bag left for myself. I have always felt this way and this needs to continue. God has always been with me, even though I never really knew how to speak of him.
I very much appreciate all the hard work and hours that goes into keeping the Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre alive so that other people like myself can find this.
Thank you for all that you do, all your love and care, your time, and getting Gurudeva’s message to us each time you are called to do so. This is something to aspire to as well as practice in any way. It’s a privilege to be a part of helping the Centre go forward. Because without the Centre I wouldn’t be truly living.
